Sunday, July 2, 2017, was a luminous sunny afternoon as the ladies came arrayed in their beautiful solid and bright colored dresses. Some came in fancy hats, gloves and parasols as they gathered at the Shiloh’s Fellowship Hall for the first annual Tea Party- Paradise in Splendor, hosted by the St. Thomas/St. John Women’s Ministries Council.

This was a social event with over 100 persons in attendance. Our Mistress of Ceremony, Sister Juliet Languedoc gave us a touch of class as she energetically engaged the attendees.
The scrumptious hors d’oeuvres were not only appealing to the eyes – they were succulent to the appetite. Our afternoon’s program was packed with musical renditions, poetry and liturgical dancers. The grand finale was the parade of exquisitely elegant small, large, tall and broad brimmed hats. Everyone had a wonderful time and already inquired about next year’s social event.

Special thanks to my Assistant, Iralyn Raymo, the Women’s Ministries Directors, sub-committees, photographer/videographer, Hester Griffin, and the St. Thomas/St. John Coordinating Council. We say, “To God be the glory”.
