The Lynch Plantation Seventh-day Adventist Primary School on St. Eustatius held their first-ever pre-kindergarten graduation ceremony on Monday, July 16, 2018.

Proud parents and teachers filled the room and watched on as the six pre-schoolers take the next steps toward their future. The little scholars gave speeches that detailed what they will remember most about kindergarten, including the friends they made, their favourite classroom activities, as well as what they want to be when they grow up.

School Principal Lavern David-Duggins and Criselma Woodley-Adams, Program Director/Teacher, thanked the families for entrusting them with the education of their boys and girls. "It's emotional to watch them,” said Woodley-Adams. “These guys were toddlers when they started here with the program and to watch them go to kindergarten is really exciting.”

The children were dressed in red caps and gowns, and parents quipped that it felt like a dress rehearsal for college. They had been touched by the ceremony, and attributed the many positive changes they witnessed in their sons and daughters over the past year to their time at the school.

The Lynch Plantation Seventh-day Adventist Primary School is a small, creative school on the island of St. Eustatius that provides quality education in a Christ-centered environment. The school is a part of the world-wide Seventh-day Adventist educational organization whose mission is to offer holistic education that will enable students to excel academically and socially in the global community.
