The Seventh-day Adventist Church on St. Eustatius, “Statia,” has, yet again, taken another step in fulfilling its social obligation to the community.  To enhance road-use safety, the church acquired a number of traffic mirrors. And, on Tuesday, the 17th of July, at about 1: 30 p.m., a symbolic handing-over ceremony was held at the police station.

During the ceremony, the newly appointed Chief of Police, Mr. Robelto Hodge, expressed his gratitude to the church for partnering with the police, in its attempt to make the roads safer and more user-friendly. Officer Maritza Patrick also attended the event.

The church was represented by the First Elder, Renatta Macurius, and the Personal Ministries Director, Mr. Roland Lopes. Althea Merman, from the press, recorded the proceedings.
