Secondary school students in the North Caribbean Conference embraced the opportunity to participate in cross-cultural mission trips sponsored by the Inter-American Division. Students travelled to Temoya, Mexico in 2016 and to Holguin, Cuba in 2017. As a result of participating in this missionary initiative, delegates from our schools were invited to be a part of the IAD Cross-Cultural Missions Festival in Trinidad August 8-12. Representing the schools of the NCC were Curtis Carino, a student of the St Croix SDA School and Mrs Josephine Thomas-Lewis, a teacher at the same school.
“Prayer is heaven’s ordained means of success in the conflict with sin and the development of Christian character.” Being cognizant of this fact the St Croix SDA School has embarked on a special initiative called 31 Days of Prayer for Our Children. The initiative is coordinated by Pastor Doval Kent, the school’s Bible Teacher. Click here to download this initiative.
Meet our Early Admission Students, Stacy Frederick and Mahlana Graham from the St Croix SDA School and Shamir Smith from the St Thomas/St John SDA School. These students gained admittance to the University of the Virgin Islands because of their high SAT Scores. All three students have participated in cross-cultural mission trips as well as the NCC Junior Chef Expo. Stacy Frederick and Shamir Smith were among four student evangelists who conducted a crusade in Cuba and their efforts resulted in the baptism of six persons.
The St Eustatius SDA School Grade 6 students are the first to embark on the Adventures in Transformation Bible Lesson Series. On completion of the series, students will receive an Adventures in Transformation Certificate.
