On January 13, 2018, the Seventh-day Adventist Central and Hope Churches celebrated the installation of Pastor Ammaran Williams as the new pastor of District #2. Pastor Williams was warmly welcomed by the members in a special Sabbath service, with his wife and children receiving a flowery reception from both church congregations.

After formal welcomes and musical selections by young church members and the combined Central and Hope choir, Pastor Williams gave his inaugural sermon, inviting church members and leaders to embark on an active journey of transformation through Christ.

Setting the example of what he envisions as a “transformed by Christ” ministry, Pastor Williams stated that he will spend an entire night in prayer from 9:00 pm until sunrise on Sabbath, January 20. This will set the tenure for a new phase in ministry as a church-wide seeking of the Holy Spirit’s direction for the churches and leadership team. He also encouraged members to join him in renewing their commitment to God’s service as a unified church in 2018.

With a hearty amen and the support of the newly installed Bible Instructor, Margaret Peters, the combined churches of Central and Hope stood in a solemn pledge of commitment to the vision of transformation through Christ.
