Damieon Dillan Lewis is a native of the tiny island of Carriacou, a territory of the “Spice Isle” Grenada, and the son of Trinidadian parents, Val and Wendy Lewis. He was born into an Adventist home as the second born of four children and is the only Grenadian in his immediate family as his siblings: Julien, Simeon, and Valeen, were all born in Trinidad. The Lewis children were known to be loud, and sometimes disruptive, but all demonstrated a love for life, and very strong imaginative and story telling abilities.
During his childhood Damieon attended the Mt. Rose S.D.A., and the St. George’s S.D.A. primary schools, and the Presentation Brothers College Secondary School. In 2002, after successfully sitting the Caribbean Examination Council examinations, Damieon matriculated to the Caribbean Union College to pursue a degree in Theology and graduated from the University of the Southern Caribbean in 2006 (CUC became USC in December of 2005). In 2020 he completed a Masters of Arts in Pastoral Theology at the same institution.
Damieon has always known that there was a call from God on his life to Pastoral ministry and on June 22, 2006 he was appointed as a ministerial intern with the South Caribbean Conference of Seventh-day Adventists where he was mentored by Pastors Owen Jack, Roger Morris (dec), Gandalal Samlalsingh, Wayne Sampson, and Garvin Paul (dec). After internship he was sent to the Blanchisseusse, Mayaro, and Torrib Trace/Tableland District of SDA Churches. On August 10, 2019 Pastor Lewis realised another milestone as he was Ordained as a Minister of Gospel at the Auditorium of the USC, this means that the call he felt as a child was now officially acknowledged by the World Church of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and that he could serve in different fields and regions. On August 17, 2023 Damieon took a call to the Irish Mission of Seventh-day Adventists where he is the Pastor of the Dublin West and Drogheda Churches, and the Evangelism Coordinator for the Mission.
Pastor Damieon is a family man and takes this part of his life as his chief priority. He is deeply in love with the beautiful, gifted, and congenial Trudy (formally Bowrin) who became his wife on December 24, 2017. There is one child in the family- Jaheim Nathaniel Humphrey who is the apple of his parents’ eye, and who possesses impressive athletic, and humanitarian gifts.
